MarineGuard GSM Alarm - GPS Tracker

How it works

Core Capabilities
The heart of the MarineGuard system is what might be called a ‘black-box’ unit which is easily installed in your vessel. The unit communicates with the mobile phone handsets that you nominate (up to 3). Once installed it is armed and disarmed by text command from the nominated GSM mobile phones. Calls or texts from other numbers are rejected.

There are three elements to the MarineGuard system, the controller, the GSM link and the GPS satellite positioning system when fitted. PIRs, pressure mats, magnetic sensors and the like are easily connected to the MarineGuard to form a highly capable anti-theft system; you'll be alerted by SMS messages to the nominated handsets when an alarm condition is reached.

That alarm condition may be an unlawful entry of the boat or a warning to say that the boat's battery system is running low. The MarineGuard can be connected to real world signals to provide a "health" update of your boat whenever you choose.

Controlled Movement in an area
Upon installation, the unit automatically determines its base position or mooring and you set the Geo-Fence sensitivity setting that determines how far your vessel can move before the alarm is raised. This Geo-Fence uses GPS satellite technology to give you an accurate fix on your boat's position.

The MarineGuard system is very flexible and and can be configured to meet your particular needs. For example it may be, that for practical reasons, you may wish to allow your boat to be moved within the confines of the marina or harbour (for cleaning, maintenance etc.). To avoid false alarms, you simply define a larger geo-fenced area. Since you are in control of the alarm and configuration settings, changing the Geo-Fence area is as easy as sending a text message.

You can define which of the nominated mobile phones should receive an alarm message if the vessel is moving with the MarineGuard GPS system fitted. It will report its position at regular intervals as defined by the user when set up or report only if moved outside the Geo-Fence area. (These GSM reports will only work whilst the vessel is within range of land based GSM base stations.)

Control from afar
The MarineGuard system has both user inputs and outputs available. These outputs include two relays that are ideal for controlling on-board systems, for example bilge pumps and lighting.

All of the input changes can be notified by text message, the outputs can be set by text message. The highly flexible nature of the system means that it can also make use of energy saving Nap & Sleep modes of operation.

MarineGuard is a highly flexible alarm and tracking system that also has very powerful control capabilities.
